Diversity in the Law, an exciting opportunity for diverse sophomores, juniors, and seniors, will take place on Friday, February 13, 2009 from 8:00am – 6:00pm in Downtown Chicago. This program will give students who are considering law school or are interested in a career in law an opportunity to spend the day visiting a large, corporate law firm, as well as a non-profit or government agency where lawyers are employed. The day will begin with breakfast and an opening presentation, followed by a morning site visit to a non-profit organization. The group will reconvene for an employer sponsored lunch, and then participate in an afternoon site visit to a law firm. The day will conclude with a closing reception where students will have the opportunity to network with representatives as well as each other. Please note, this event is walking intensive.
