Home page Reader 2.5:Information about the current
document element
HPR can give you information about where you are in the page. The type of
information it gives depends on the
type of element currently
selected. Some examples:
- If your current element is a paragraph or a header, you will hear something
like, "Element 3 of 17." This tells you that there are 17 elements in
the page and you are in the third one. It does not give you any information
about
- If your current element is an ordered list, you will hear something like,
"Ordered list. Item 2 of 6. Element 3 of 17." This tells you that you
are in the second of 6 items in the list, and that the current list item is the
third of 17 elements in the page.
- If your current element is in a table, you will hear something like,
"Table 2, row 3, column 4, with 8 rows and 6 columns. Element 52 of
93." This tells you that you are in the second table on the page. This
table has 8 rows and 6 columns. Your current position is in the second row and
third column. This element is the 52nd of 93 elements in the page.
There are two ways to get this information:
- Press plus and then 5 on the numeric keypad.
- Double click the 5 key on the numeric keypad.
