Using OMNI 3000 with Shortcut Keys

Reading text from a floppy disk

1. Open Omni 3000, if it is not already open.
2. Insert the floppy disk into the disk drive (A:).
3. PressCtrl+O. The Open dialog box will appear.
4. Four steps to open the desired document:
   • Put the name of the floppy disk drive in the small "Look In" window:
     • Press Tab until the location currently shown in the Look In window is highlighted.
     • Press the Up or Down arrows until "3 1/2 Floppy (A:)" is highlighted.
     • Press Enter to select the floppy drive.
   • Highlight the name of the document if it appears in the large window, OR type its name in the File Name window.
   • Press Tab until the Open button is selected (when selected, there is a square made up of dots around the word "Open").
   • Press Enter. The scanned document will appear on the screen, ready to be read.
