Universal Design Symbol PowerPoint '97: Copying text to another Presentation using Shortcut Keys



Six steps to copy text to another presentation

  1. Use the arrow keys to position the cursor to the first letter of the first word of the block of text you want to copy.
  2. Press CONTROL+SHIFT+RIGHT ARROW until the desired block of text is highlighted. To select a paragraph, press CONTROL+SHIFT+DOWN ARROW or CONTROL+SHIFT+UP ARROW. To deselect text, press ESC and hit an arrow key.
  3. Press CONTROL+C to copy the text.
  4. Open the presentation to which the text will be moved.
  5. Within this presentation, use the arrow keys move the cursor to the new location where you want the block of text.
  6. Press CONTROL+V to paste the text.

Five steps to copy an object or textbox to another presentation

  1. Press ESCAPE+TAB to select a textbox or object you want to move.
  2. Press CONTROL+C to copy the textbox or object.
  3. Open the presentation to which the textbox or object will be moved.
  4. Within the new presentation, use the arrow keys to position the cursor to the new location where you want the box.
  5. Press CONTROL+V to paste the box in the new location.
