Six steps to move a block of text to another application

  1. Use the cursor keys to position the cursor to the first letter of the first word of the block of text to be moved.
  2. Press CONTROL+SHIFT+RIGHT ARROW until the desired block of text is highlighted. To select a paragraph, press CONTROL+SHIFT+DOWN ARROW or CONTROL+SHIFT+UP ARROW. To deselect text, press ESC and hit an arrow key.
  3. Press CONTROL+X to cut the text. The text will be removed from your current presentation.
  4. Open a new application to which the text will be copied.
  5. Within the new application, use the cursor keys to move the cursor to the new location where you want the text.
  6. Press CONTROL+V to paste the text. The text will reappear in the new application.

Five steps to move an object or textbox to another application

  1. Press ESCAPE+TAB to select a textbox or object you want to move.
  2. Press CONTROL+X to cut the text. The text will be removed from your current presentation.
  3. Open the presentation to which the textbox or object will be moved.
  4. Within the new presentation, use the arrow keys to position the cursor to the new location where you want the box.
  5. Press CONTROL+V to paste the box in the new location.
