Universal Design Symbol PowerPoint '97: Moving the cursor around a Slide using Shortcut Keys


  • Moving to the left or right
  • Moving one line up or down
  • Moving one word to the right or left
  • Moving to the beginning or end of a line
  • Moving one paragraph up or down
  • Moving to the beginning or end of a text box, title or placeholder
  • Repeating the last Find command

  • Moving to the left or the right

    To Move one character to the left press the LEFT ARROW.

    To Move one character to the right press the RIGHT ARROW.

    Moving one line up or down

    To Move one line up press the UP ARROW.

    To Move one line down press the DOWN ARROW.

    Moving one word to the left or right

    To Move one word to the left press CTRL+LEFT ARROW.

    To Move one word to the right press CTRL+RIGHT ARROW.

    Moving to the end or beginning of a line

    To Move to the end of a line press END.

    To Move to the beginning of a line press HOME.

    Moving one paragraph up or down

    To Move up one paragraph press CTRL+UP ARROW.

    To Move down one paragraph press CTRL+DOWN ARROW.

    Moving to the beginning or end of a textbox, title or placeholder

    To Move to the end of a text box press CTRL+END.

    To Move to the beginning of a text box press CTRL+HOME.

    To Move to the next title or body text placeholder press CTRL+ENTER.

    Repeating the last Find command

    To repeat the last Find action press SHIFT+F4.
