PowerPoint '97: Moving text to another Presentation
using Shortcut Keys
Six steps to move a block of text from one presentation
to another
- Use the arrow keys to position the cursor to the first letter of the first
word of the block of text you want to copy.
- Press CONTROL+SHIFT+RIGHT ARROW until the desired block of text
is highlighted. To select a paragraph, press CONTROL+SHIFT+DOWN
ARROW or CONTROL+SHIFT+UP ARROW. To deselect text, press
ESC and hit an arrow key.
- Press CONTROL+X to cut the text. The text will be removed from
your current presentation.
- Open the presentation to which the text
will be moved.
- Within this presentation, use the arrow keys move the cursor to the new
location where you want the block of text.
- Press CONTROL+V to paste the text.
Five steps to move an object or textbox to
another presentation
- Press ESCAPE+TAB to select
a textbox or object you want to move.
- Press CONTROL+X to cut the text. The text will be removed from
your current presentation.
- Open the presentation to which the
textbox or object will be moved.
- Within the new presentation, use the arrow keys to position the cursor to
the new location where you want the box.
- Press CONTROL+V to paste the box in the new location.
