PowerPoint '97: Summary of Delete commands using Shortcut Keys

To remove text you can:

• press BACKSPACE to remove characters to the left of the cursor.
• press DELETE to remove characters to the right of the cursor.
• select the text, and then press DELETE to remove it.

If you decide to undo the deleting action, press CTRL+Z. The text will reappear on the screen.
