While in the main menu

Press ? To get help using Pine
Press C To compose and send a message
Press I To view the messages in the current folder
Press L To select a folder to view
Press Q To quit the Pine program
 

While you are in a folder index

 
Press UP and DOWN arrow keys To select a message
Press V  To view a selected message
Press D To delete the selected message
Press U To undelete the selected message
Press R To reply to the selected message
Press M To return to the main menu
 

While you are looking at an e-mail message sent to you

 
Press the UP and DOWN arrow keys To move up and down one line
Press the SPACE BAR To move down one screen
Press - (the Minus sign) To move up one screen
Press R To reply to the message
Press F To forward the message
Press Y To print the message
Press D To delete the message
Press U To undelete a message
Press I To veiw the messages in the INBOX folder
Press M To return to the main menu
 

While you are composing an e-mail message

 
Press the LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys To move left and right one character
Press CTRL+E To move the cursor to the end of the line
Press CTRL+A To move the cursor to the beginning of the line
Press CTRL+K To cut the line of text your cursor is on
Press CTRL+SHIFT+6 To mark text with the arrow keys
Press CTRL+U To paste the text in the clipboard
Press CTRL+X To send the message
Press CTRL+C To cancel the message
