Font Style and Format using Shortcut Keys
Four steps to apply or
remove bold format
- Select the text you want to
bold.
- Press CTRL+B.
- Press the left or right arrow key to deselect the text in order to continue
typing.
- To remove the bold format, press CTRL+B.
Four steps to apply or
remove italic format
- Select the text you want to
italicize.
- Press CTRL+I.
- Press the left or right arrow key to deselect the text in order to continue
typing.
- To remove the italicized format, press CTRL+I.
Four steps to apply or remove
underline formatting
- Select the text you want to
underline.
- Press CTRL+U.
- Press the left or right arrow key to deselect the text in order to continue
typing.
- To remove the underlined format, press CTRL+U.
Six steps to change the font style
- Select the text you want to
change.
- Press F9 to open the Font dialog box located on the format bar.
- Press ALT+F to go the list of font styles.
- Use the up and down arrow keys to select the font you want.
- Once you have selected the font, press ENTER. The text will
transform to the new font.
- Press the left or right arrow key to deselect the text in order to continue
typing.
Six steps to change the font size
- Select the text you want to
change.
- Press F9 to open the Font dialog box.
- Press ALT+S to move to the list of font sizes or type in the
size you prefer.
- Once you have selected the font size, press ENTER. The text will
transform to the new font size.
- Press the left or right arrow key to deselect the text in order to continue
typing.
