Four steps to apply or remove bold format

  1. Select the text you want to bold.
  2. Press CTRL+B.
  3. Press the left or right arrow key to deselect the text in order to continue typing.
  4. To remove the bold format, press CTRL+B.

Four steps to apply or remove italic format

  1. Select the text you want to italicize.
  2. Press CTRL+I.
  3. Press the left or right arrow key to deselect the text in order to continue typing.
  4. To remove the italicized format, press CTRL+I.

Four steps to apply or remove underline formatting

  1. Select the text you want to underline.
  2. Press CTRL+U.
  3. Press the left or right arrow key to deselect the text in order to continue typing.
  4. To remove the underlined format, press CTRL+U.

Six steps to change the font style

  1. Select the text you want to change.
  2. Press F9 to open the Font dialog box located on the format bar.
  3. Press ALT+F to go the list of font styles.
  4. Use the up and down arrow keys to select the font you want.
  5. Once you have selected the font, press ENTER. The text will transform to the new font.
  6. Press the left or right arrow key to deselect the text in order to continue typing.

Six steps to change the font size

  1. Select the text you want to change.
  2. Press F9 to open the Font dialog box.
  3. Press ALT+S to move to the list of font sizes or type in the size you prefer.
  4. Once you have selected the font size, press ENTER. The text will transform to the new font size.
  5. Press the left or right arrow key to deselect the text in order to continue typing.
