Moving text to another Application using Shortcut Keys
Six steps to move a
block of text from one application to another
- Use the cursor keys to position the cursor to the first letter of the first
word of the block of text to be moved.
- Press the CTRL+SHIFT+right arrow to select a sentence or
CTRL+SHIFT+down arrow to select several lines of text. This will
highlight the text. To deselect the text, press ESC and hit an arrow
key.
- Press CTRL+X to cut the text. The text will disappear from the
screen.
- Open the application to which the
text will be moved.
- Within the new application, use the cursor keys to move the cursor to the
location where you want the text.
- PressCTRL+V to paste the text.
Six steps to move a single
word from one application to another
- Use the cursor keys to position the cursor to any place within the word you
want to move.
- Press F8 two times to highlight the word. To deselect the word,
press ESC and hit an arrow key.
- Press CTRL+X to cut the word. The word will disappear from the
screen.
- Open the application to which the
word will be moved.
- Within the application, use the cursor keys to move the cursor to the
location where you want the word.
- PressCTRL+V to paste the word.

another

paragraph you want to move.
- Press F8 four times to highlight the paragraph. To deselect the
paragraph, press ESC and hit an arrow key.
- Press CTRL+X to cut the paragraph. The paragraph will disappear
from the screen.
- Open the application to which the
paragraph will be moved.
- Within the new application, use the cursor keys to move the cursor to the
location where you want the paragraph.
- Press CTRL+V to paste the paragraph.
