Six steps to move a a block of text from one document to another

  1. Use the cursor keys to position the cursor to the first letter of the first word of the block of text to be moved.
  2. Press the CTRL+SHIFT+right arrow to select a sentence or CTRL+SHIFT+down arrow to select several lines of text. This will highlight the text. To deselect the text, press ESC and hit an arrow key.
  3. Press CTRL+X to cut the text. The text will disappear from the screen.
  4. Open the document to which the text will be moved.
  5. Within the new document, use the cursor keys to move the cursor to the location where you want the text.
  6. PressCTRL+V to paste the text.

Six steps to move a single word from one document to another

  1. Use the cursor keys to position the cursor to any place within the word you want to move.
  2. Press F8 two times to highlight the word. To deselect the word, press ESC and hit an arrow key.
  3. Press CTRL+X to cut the word. The word will disappear from the screen.
  4. Open the document to which the word will be moved.
  5. Within the new document, use the cursor keys to move the cursor to the location where you want the word.
  6. PressCTRL+V to paste the word.

Six steps to move a sentence from one document to another

  1. Use the cursor keys to position the cursor to any place within the sentence you want to move.
  2. Press F8 three times to highlight the sentence. To deselect the sentence, press ESC and hit an arrow key.
  3. Press CTRL+X to cut the sentence. The sentence will disappear from the screen.
  4. Open the document to which the sentence will be moved.
  5. Within the new document, use the cursor keys to move the cursor to the location where you want the sentence.
  6. Press CTRL+V to paste the sentence.

Six steps to move a paragraph from one document to another

  1. Use the cursor keys to position the cursor to any place within the paragraph you want to move.
  2. Press F8 four times to highlight the paragraph. To deselect the paragraph, press ESC and hit an arrow key.
  3. Press CTRL+X to cut the paragraph. The paragraph will disappear from the screen.
  4. Open the document to which the paragraph will be moved.
  5. Within the new document, use the cursor keys to move the cursor to the location where you want the paragraph.
  6. Press CTRL+V to paste the paragraph.
