WordPerfect 7: Saving a
Document with a Different File Name using Shortcut Keys
Three steps to save a document with a different file name
- Press F3 to open the Save As dialog box.
- Type in a new name for the file and press ENTER. Try to name the
file something descriptive that you will easily recognize. Filenames must be
less than 255 characters and must not include any of the following characters:
forward slash (/), backslash (\), greater-than sign (>), less-than sign
(<), asterisk (*), question mark (?), quotation mark ("), pipe symbol
(|), colon (:), or semicolon (;).
- The file you were working is now saved with the name you specified. The old
file still exists. After saving, you will be in the document with the new file
name.
