About ZoomText

ZoomText is a screen magnification program. Some of its features are:

  1. magnification levels from 2x to 16x
  2. full- and partial-screen zoom windows
  3. the ability to display up to 6 zoom windows simultaneously

When ZoomText starts, the zoom window will come up at the lower right corner of the screen. By default, it displays at twice the original screen size. The zoom window can magnify any part of the normal screen. When you move the mouse, the zoom window is automatically scrolled to keep the area around the mouse cursor in view. This scrolling action also works with other screen activity, such as text entry and menu selections.

When you move the mouse, you will see the mouse cursor move on the normal size screen and on the magnified screen at the same time and at the same relative position.

If the magnification level of 2x is not adequate, you can increase it up to 16x. As you do, you may find that it becomes more difficult to keep track of where you are on the page, and you may wish to keep the original size page on the screen for easier reference. You have the option of increasing the zoom window to the size of the full screen, to be able to see more of the magnified words. You also can turn the zoom window on or off at any time.
