Using ZoomText Xtra! with shortcut keys

Shortcut keys for using DocReader

The following four tables give some shortcut commands used by the ZoomText Xtra! DocReader. In each table, the left column lists actions you may want to perform and the right column lists the keyboard shortcuts for performing those actions.

Reading:

Action	Keyboard Shortcut
Read from the last active application	`CTRL+SHIFT+R`
Read from a selected application	`CTRL+SHIFT+D`

Toolbar commands:

Action	Keyboard Shortcut
Play or pause reading	`ENTER`
Move to the next word	right arrow key
Move to the previous word	left arrow key
Move to the next line	down arrow key
Move to the previous line	up arrow key
Increase magnification	`+` on the Numpad
Decrease magnification	`-` on the Numpad
Open the DocReader dialog box	`D`
Open the Speech dialog box	`S`
Increase reading speed	`>` (greater than)
Decrease reading speed	`<` (less than)
Exit DocReader	`ESC`

Navigating within a document:

Action	Keyboard Shortcut
Move to the next word	right arrow key
Move to the previous word	left arrow key
Move to the next sentence	`CTRL+right arrow`
Move to the previous sentence	`CTRL+left arrow`
Move to the first word on the line	`HOME`
Move to the last word on the line	`END`
Move to the next line	down arrow key
Move to the previous line	up arrow key
Move to the next line in the source document	`CTRL+down arrow`
Move to the previous line in the source document	`CTRL+up arrow`
Move to the next page	`PAGE DOWN`
Move to the previous page	`PAGE UP`
Move to the next page in the source document	`CTRL+PAGE DOWN`
Move to the previous page in the source document	`CTRL+PAGE UP`
Speak the current word	`SPACEBAR`
Spell the current word	`CTRL+SPACEBAR`

Exiting DocReader:
