Using ZoomText Xtra! with shortcut keys
Starting or exiting ZoomText Xtra!
There are six steps to start ZoomText Xtra!:
- Press CTRL+ESC to access the Windows Start menu.
- Press P to open the Programs menu.
- Press the up or down arrows to select ZoomText Xtra!.
- Press ENTER; a small menu will pop up.
- Select ZoomText Xtra Level 2 from the small popup menu.
- Press ENTER; ZoomText Xtra! will open.
When ZoomText Xtra! starts, you will see the following on the screen:
- A single zoom window will occupy the entire screen.
- A portion of the normal screen will be seen in the zoom window.
- The magnification level will be set to 2x (twice the original size).
- All screen activity will be tracked: by moving the mouse. You can track any
portion of the screen, and the zoom window will magnify the active areas within
your application.
In addition, with Level 2, speech will be activated, and menus, window
titles and other on-screen components will be spoken.
There are two steps to exit ZoomText Xtra!:
- Press ALT+F to open the File menu.
- Press X to exit ZoomText Xtra! The user interface will close,
the screen will return to its normal state, and speech will cease.
