Learning Disability Services

A learning disabilities specialist is available to determine and assist in coordinating reasonable accommodations for students with learning disabilities at UIUC.

In addition, services available include:

  • One-on-one weekly, biweekly or "as needed" appointments with the learning disabilities specialist to work on strategies for:
    1. test preparation
    2. test-taking
    3. reading comprehension
    4. written expression
    5. organization
    6. goal setting (and achieving!)
    7. problem solving/crisis management

When referred by another DRES staff member, the services listed above are provided to registered students with DRES or students on the "waitlist" for DRES testing services.
